abril

Hola,

Es primavera!!! It's Spring!!!

The end of the year is just around the corner.

Trimester progress report grades are due in a couple of weeks. Any student missing an assessment needs to make the assessment up as soon as possible.

I am going into my last major units.

8th grade: Root Word Unit

Students will be learning the Latin root words and their meanings along with the meanings of the most used prefixes and suffixes. Students will need this basic information to help them in their high school studies.

7th grade: Roman Gods & Godesses

Students will learn about the Roman Gods & Godesses and how the gods fit into the Roman Society.

K-6 grades: 2 Units (Days/Months/Seasons Unit & Reading Unit)

Students have started the Days/Months/Seasons Unit. This unit should be a short unit. Students will finish up with a reading unit.

Cinco de mayo (5th of May)

Cinco de mayo is coming very quickly. Cinco de mayo is a major holiday in Mexico. We will be celabrating the holiday with a pinata activity. I have sent a note home in all grades K-6, the grades that are doing the activity. I have enough empty tissue boxes now. I only need the wrapped candy that the students are to bring in for the pinata.

Please send in wrapped candy with the homeroom teacher's name on the bag. This will help me be able to stuff the correct pinata with the candy.

ACCESS TESTING

Students who are ELL students will be tested in the next couple of weeks. Please make sure your child(ren) get enough sleep and they are attending school. A letter will be sent home to the parents about the upcoming testing.

Well, I believe that is it for now...

Hasta luegeo!
